Zusammenfassung
Im Zeitalter moderner multimodaler Therapiestrategien werden zunehmend mehr Patienten mit entweder vorbestehender oder aber im Krankheitsverlauf sich entwickelnder Organinsuffizienz behandelt. Die 3 zentralen Viszeralorgane (Leber, Herz, Niere) und ihre funktionellen Leistungen sind dabei sowohl im Hinblick auf die Verteilung (Hämodynamik/Plasmaeiweißbindung), die Metabolisierung (Enzyminduktion) als auch die Elimination (Wasserlöslichkeit/aktive tubuläre Sekretionsmechanismen) von pharmakologischen Substanzen von entscheidender Bedeutung.
