Zusammenfassung
Eine sorgfältige präoperative Risikoevaluation der Patienten, die sich einem gefäßmedizinischen Eingriff unterziehen müssen, ist aufgrund der hohen Prävalenz perioperativer, kardiovaskulärer Risikofaktoren entscheidend (Stadlbauer et al. 2013). Im periprozeduralen Management der Patienten ist es daher wichtig, die präoperative Therapie zu optimieren, das Allgemeinbefinden zu erhalten, die Mobilität so früh wie möglich wiederherzustellen und Komplikationen zu vermeiden. Neben der Implementierung minimal-invasiver Operationstechniken und endovaskulärer Verfahren (Greiner et al. 2013) kann durch ein interdisziplinäres und interprofessionelles Zusammenspiel von Chirurg, Anästhesiologe, Internist, Radiologe, Physiotherapeut und Pflegepersonal eine Reduktion des perioperativen Risikos erreicht werden. In der Gefäßchirurgie scheint das Fast-Track-Konzept trotz wissenschaftlich belegter Vorteile für den perioperativen Verlauf noch nicht flächendeckend etabliert zu sein. Dabei ergeben sich jedoch gerade für die häufig multimorbiden Patienten in der Gefäßmedizin wesentliche Vorteile.
