Zusammenfassung

Das vorliegende Kapitel soll auf die besonderen medizinischen und logistischen Untersuchungsbedingungen von Intensivpatienten eingehen und auf den korrekten Umgang damit hinweisen. Im Weiteren werden spezielle, auf der Intensivstation vorkommende Indikationen zu bildgebender Diagnostik besprochen und die korrekte Anforderung für die entsprechenden Untersuchungen diskutiert.

Im Rahmen dessen werden auch die typischen Befunde von häufigen Krankheitsbildern beschrieben, um bettseitig die bedeutsamen Pathologien erkennen zu können. Die subtile Differenzialdiagnostik der verschiedenen Untersuchungen kann und soll in diesem Werk nicht abgehandelt werden, dazu wird auf die entsprechende radiologische Fachliteratur verwiesen.
