This is a brief account of the first journal published that was devoted to the teaching of business ethics or socially responsible business.
Description
The first issue of Teaching Business Ethics (tbe) appeared in July, 1997, 109 pages of 453 for the full volume. Its basic aim and scope was described by its coeditors Alex C. Michalos and Deborah C. Poff as “an interdisciplinary quarterly journal designed to provide a public forum for teachers and academic researchers in the field of business ethics to exchange views about substantive and methodological issues related to teaching business ethics. Unlike all other scholarly journals devoted to the study of business ethics, the focus of Teaching Business Ethics is on the practice of teaching the subject” (Michalos and Poff 1997).
