Abstract

In biospecific ligand affinity chromatography, the interaction between the immobilized ligand and the solute molecule is based on their complementarity of charge, hydrophobicity, shape, and so on. The same forces that govern these interactions play a role in pseudobiospecific systems, but perhaps differ in their relative magnitude (1).
