Zusammenfassung

Das mesenteriale Venensystem bildet in seiner Gesamtheit das Splanchnikusgebiet, welches das größte Blutreservoir (1,5–2 l) des menschlichen Körpers ist und damit die entscheidende Steuergröße der Hämodynamik bildet. Darüber hinaus ist das mesenteriale Blut sehr nährstoffreich und bildet die Grundlage der Syntheseleistung der Leber (Tab. 1).
