Abstract

Die chirurgische Therapie von Aneurysmen und Dissektionen des Aortenbogens stellt auch heute noch aufgrund der Topographie eine große Herausforderung an den Chirurgen dar. Erst durch die Nutzung des tiefen hypothermen Kreislaufstillstands in den 1960er-Jahren ist der operative Ersatz eines Aortenbogenaneurysmas durch eine Gefäßprothese möglich geworden.
