Abstract

As with other sectors of the world economy, the citrus farming industry has being consolidating itself over the course of time. This type of concentration is also witnessed in other sectors of Brazilian agribusiness, such as beef and pork products, pulp and paper, sugarcane and chicken, among others. This tendency is also present in the banking, automobile, mining and retail sectors.
