Abstract
In this chapter, Trujillo-Jenks and Jenks discuss the responsibilities of principals and school resource officers (SROs) in maintaining a safe learning environment for all students, which includes enforcement of a Student Code of Conduct that addresses bullying. Trujillo-Jenks and Jenks focus on the important role that principals, as heads of school, can play in anti-bullying efforts by bringing together key school players for discussions on how to best combat bullying on their campuses and launching programs to combat bullying. Trujillo-Jenks and Jenks also describe how SROs can be key partners to principals in bullying prevention and intervention as they are trained law enforcement officers.
