Abstract

Medial pedis perforator flap is located in a hidden site of the non-weight-bearing area between the medial planta and medial dorsal foot, with a good skin texture and multi-sources for blood supply. It can be used to repair skin and soft tissue defect in the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon by proximal transfer, and to repair the forefoot wounds by distal transfer. Free transplantation can be used to repair soft tissue defects in hands or wrists.
