Rail transit has been playing an important role in public transportation. Ensuring its safety is a key issue in the field of rail transportation. HUD (Head-Up Display), an auxiliary system to improve drive safety, has been successfully applied in the automotive industry. In this paper, a study of HUD applied in the field of rail transmit is presented, followed by the structure and the working principle of train mounted HUD based on DLP (digital light processing) projection display technology. In addition, the feasibility of HUD used in the field of rail transportation is verified by experiments.
