Abstract
Winter comes early and stays long, upstate. But the roads are rarely unplowed, and anyway, I am so wound into this place now, that I rarely miss a visit. There are signs of positive change at the Home. Once the new administrator takes charge, I can see a difference. He is out on the units all the time, talking to staff and residents. He knows people’s names. He shares a joke with one, asks another a question. Like Lisa, he is there early and stays late.
