Abstract
Hyaline deposits in arterioles serve as indicators for a state of accelerated arterial intimai fibroplasia in the renal cortex. The acceleration seems to be a speeding of the aging process, because of how it enters into the formula that describes the way aging influences arterial intima. The “aging risk factor” therefore emerges as a quantity that can vary among individuals in a way that confers visible indicators in autopsy tissues.
