Five days preservation of canine kidneys using a preservation machine

  • Chapter
Organ Preservation

Abstract

Four-day preservation of the canine kidney has been successful using Belzerā€™s plasma1 and a perfusion machine2. However, 5 days preservation was unsuccessful with the same method and the same perfusate. In search of a better method of preserving canine kidneys, further experiment has been attempted.
