Abstract

For the design of a micro acoustic delay line oscillator an adjusted design strategy is necessary in order to get optimal results. The here given description is aimed at the design of an oscillator which uses a so-called Love wave delay line [2]; the given considerations however are also valid for other types of delay line oscillators. The physical properties of the device are translated into electrical quantities. The consequences for the active circuit to be built and the practical solutions following from the specified demands are described. Experimental results obtained from the implemented circuits are given.
