Miscellaneous Equipment

  • Chapter
Snack Food Technology

Abstract

A fundamental problem in the attempted categorization of equipment for such a diverse industry as snack food manufacturing is the large number of classes composed of only a few examples that do not seem to fit well into any of the major categories, or at least have sufficient points of difference to make their placement in separate groupings more meaningful. One possible approach, and it is the one followed in this book, is to establish a catch-all class of “miscellaneous” equipment in which all of the difficult-to-categorize equipment is included.
