Abstract
Photolabeling reagents are composed of some or all of the following ligands: Photoprobes, thermal probes, labels, linkers, and cleavable sites. The design and function of such ligands are discussed on the basis of our own attempts to design and test novel ligands and reagents. Novel ligands include diazocyclopentadienylcarbonyloxy photoprobes, biotinyl labels and selenium containing linkers which can be cleaved by very mild oxidation.
