Abstract
The adsorption-desorption of RNase on a C4 RP-HPLC support has been investigated in order to elucidate the effect of the solvent (isopropyl alcohol) and of the ion pairing (trifluoroacetic acid) on the equilibrium data. A fundamental role of the ion pairing has been evidenced by the experimental data. The adsorption equilibrium data have been described using a multicomponent Langmuir-Freundlich type isotherm.
