Abstract

In de nieuwe nhg-Standaard ‘Het soa-consult’ ¹ staan de veelvoorkomende seksueel overdraagbare aandoeningen (soa’s) bij elkaar: Chlamydia-infectie, gonorroe, trichomoniasis, syfilis, herpes genitalis, condylomata acuminata, hepatitis-B, hiv-infectie en schaamluis. De oude nhg-Standaarden over herpes genitalis, condylomata acuminata en urethritis bij mannen komen te vervallen. Het beleid bij een urethritis bij de man wordt bepaald door de grote kans op een soa. De nhg-Standaard Fluor Vaginalis2 blijft bestaan omdat fluor vaginalis vaak niet soa-gerelateerd is. De nhg-Standaard Pelvic Inflammatory Disease3 blijft bestaan vanwege de uitgebreide, specifieke diagnostische overwegingen.
