Per riflettere sugli aspetti psicologici legati al consumo delle bevande analcoliche è necessario collocare questo fenomeno nel più vasto tema dell’alimentazione. Per gli esseri umani mangiare e bere rappresentano necessità fisiologiche, ma anche la possibilità di esprimere sentimenti, emozioni, stati d’animo. L’atto di mangiare o bere deve quindi essere considerato, oltre che per il suo aspetto nutrizionale, anche per quello relazionale, cognitivo e affettivo.
