Abstract

Owing to the variability and complexity of vessels that comprise the circle of Willis, hand-held transcranial Doppler (TCD) devices are subject to problems of vessel identification and documentation. Furthermore, TCD does not provide morphological information about the basal vessels. These problems significantly limit conventional TCD sonography.
