Was Venkatraman im Beitrag „Five Steps to a Dot-com Strategy“ bereits treffend für das Internet beschreibt, gilt in der gleichen Form für Mobilfunk-basierte oder allgemeiner für digitale Dienste: “No mere business tool, the Internet goes to the heart of the corporation, challenging its existing business models and customer relationships.”42
