Abstract

Dieser Beitrag untersucht die Bedeutung des strategischen Kompetenz- Managements (SKM) für die Entscheidung einer Verlagerung von Wertschöpfungsaktivitäten auf Zulieferer im fernen Ausland, vornehmlich in Niedriglohnländern (Offshore-Outsourcing). Erklärungen des Kompetenzaufbaus und der Kompetenzentwicklung ergänzen und erweitern die traditionellen Erklärungen des Offshore-Outsourcing in erweiterten Markt- und Profitmodellen im Rahmen der Theorie der internationalen Unternehmung. Sie können zur Ausgestaltung des Offshore-Outsourcing genutzt werden.
