Zusammenfassung
Mehr und mehr Konsumenten treffen ihre Kaufentscheidung erst am Point-of-Sale (PoS) und lassen sich durch das Sortiment, besondere Angebote, aber auch durch die Ladengestaltung und Warenpräsentation in ihrer Kaufentscheidung beeinflussen. Der Anteil der so genannten „Instore-Decisions“ beträgt nach (2001, S. 522) je nach Produktgruppe zwischen 40 und 70 Prozent. Dabei spielen drei Aspekte eine erhebliche Rolle für das Kaufverhalten: Orientierung, Convenience und Anregung.
