Zusammenfassung
In unserem Beitrag haben wir dargelegt, dass ein verantwortungsvolles unternehmerisches Handeln im Interesse aller ist. Es trägt dazu bei, die natürlichen Ressourcen zu schonen und den Klimawandel zu bekämpfen. Eine faire Behandlung der am Produktionsprozess beteiligten Menschen entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette motiviert die Belegschaft und ist die einträglichste Werbung des Unternehmens im Kampf um die besten Talente. Engagiert sich ein Unternehmen glaubhaft und authentisch für seine Umwelt, korreliert dies positiv mit seinem Image und birgt einen Wettbewerbsvorteil in einer globalisierten Welt, bei der sich Produkte und Preise zunehmend angleichen. All dies ist bekannt, und dennoch bleibt das CR-Engagement in vielen Fällen noch immer weit hinter dem Möglichen zurück. Deshalb ist es unerlässlich, das Thema Nachhaltigkeit in die Steuerungssystematik der Unternehmen zu implantieren. Bis dato sind fast alle Anreizsysteme in der Wirtschaft auf monetäre Ziele ausgerichtet oder auf solche, die unmittelbar kommerzielle Chancen eröffnen. Hier bedarf es eines Paradigmenwechsels. Manager brauchen auch eine klare Vorgabe, welche ökologischen und sozialen Ziele sie erreichen müssen. Bei der Otto Group wurde hierzu der Vorstand auf klare Ziele festgelegt. Und dieser wiederum gibt entsprechende Ziele an das Top-Management weiter. So kann der Impuls sukzessive in die Unternehmensstruktur einsickern und das ganze Unternehmen mit der avisierten Zielbildung durchdringen.

Icon Added Value, Nürnberg, hat die Bedeutung von CSR-Themen in unserer Gesellschaft und für die Markenführung empirisch untersucht. Dafür wurden 1000 Menschen zu 30 CSR-Themen, 18 Branchen, 37 Marken und einigen Initiative befragt.
