Zusammenfassung
Während schon jetzt Zellkulturverfahren zur Prüfung auf lokale Verträglichkeit an humanen Keratinozyten und Fibroblasten in erheblichem Umfang durchgeführt werden, sind Tierversuche zur Resorption von neuentwickelten Dermatika und Kosmetika noch immer nicht zu ersetzen, da etablierte in vitro-Verfahren bislang nicht zur Verfügung stehen. Dies ist besonders bedauerlich, da die Aussagekraft der an den Tieren gewonnenen Daten durch die vergleichsweise schlechte Barrierefunktion begrenzt ist, die Aufnahme wird regelmäßig überschätzt.
