Zusammenfassung

Wie jeder medizinische Eingriff ist auch die Tracheostomie mit möglichen Risiken und Komplikationen verbunden. Komplikationen können peri- bzw. unmittelbar postoperativ oder im späteren postoperativen Verlauf auftreten. Die wichtigsten möglichen Komplikationen werden in diesem Kapitel diskutiert. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf den Vergleich der Komplikationen nach perkutan-dilatativen Tracheotomien und chirurgischen Tracheotomien gelegt.
