Zusammenfassung

Körperliche Befunde sind meist der Ausgangspunkt des Verdachtes auf Misshandlung. Fachgerechte und wissenschaftlich abgesicherte Befunderhebung, Interpretation, Diagnose und Differentialdiagnose können weit reichende Folgen haben, weshalb der Erstbegutachtung ein essentieller Stellenwert zukommt. Als Konsequenzen der gestellten Diagnose »Kindesmisshandlung« können Einbeziehung des Jugendamtes, familienrechtliche Eingriffe bis hin zur Entziehung des Sorgerechts stehen. Die Verantwortung, hier fundiert, korrekt und im Sinne des Kindes empathisch zu agieren, ist außerordentlich.
