Zusammenfassung
Das Ziel des Beitrages ist es, geschlechtsspezifische Kommunikationsmuster von Jungen und Mädchen mit Hilfe der Theorie von Tannen (1990) zu untersuchen. Dieser theoretische Ansatz will erklären, wie Frauen und Männer und auch Jugendliche miteinander kommunizieren. Unterschiede in der Kommunikation zwischen Männern und Frauen sind durch die Forschungsergebnisse der letzten vierzig Jahre gut dokumentiert. Wenn Frauen mit Frauen sprechen, dann tun sie das vor allem über Leute, über Gefiihle, über persönliche Probleme, über Beziehungen zwischen Menschen, über das Aussehen und über Haushaltsangelegenheiten. Männer sprechen untereinander meistens über Arbeit, Sport, Wettkampf, Geld, körperliche Gewalt, Politik und soziale Probleme (Aries, 1976; Bischoping, 1993; Brouwer et al., 1978). In einer Mann-Frau-Dyade sind es die Männer, die mehr sprechen (Swacker, 1976), und sie sind es auch, die mehr Interaktionen initiieren (Aries, 1976; Lockheed/ Hall, 1976; Strodtbeck/ Mann, 1956; Willis/ Williams, 1976). Im Mittelpunkt der Geschichten, die Männer erzählen, sind oft Personen, die alleine handeln und auf diese Weise Erfolg erringen. In Geschichten von Frauen hat die Zusammenarbeit einen hervorgehobenen Platz, und wenn eine Person allein handelt, ist das Ergebnis oft negativ (Johnstone, 1989).
