Zusammenfassung

Wie bewältigen alte Menschen ihre besonderen Lebensanforderungen? Von welchen Ressourcen profitieren sie dabei? In der vorliegenden Expertise wird eine psychologische Sichtweise zu diesem Thema zum Ausdruck gebracht. Wir beschränken uns auf einen schmalen Aspekt, nämlich den der psychischen Bewältigungsressourcen, und hier nur auf den Bereich der personalen Ressourcen. Die sozialen Ressourcen dagegen, die auch sehr wichtig sind, waren nicht unser Thema. Unter personalen Ressourcen verstehen wir alle geistig-psychischen Merkmale wie zum Beispiel Kompetenzen, Einstellungen oder Präferenzen. Besonders bedeutsam erscheinen uns selbstbezogene Kognitionen, die handlungssteuernde Funktion ausüben können. Technische und motorische Fertigkeiten haben wir ausgeklammert.
