Zusammenfassung
Schon die Darstellung und Exemplifizierung der Simulation in den beiden vorhergehenden Kapiteln läßt einen sehr engen Zusammenhang zwischen der theoretischen Konzeption der Unternehmung als Informationssystem und der Simulation als Instrument zur wissenschaftlichen und praktischen Auseinandersetzung mit solchen Systemen erkennen. Zunächst war es möglich, die wesentlichen Merkmale der Simulationstechnik sowie ihre vielgestaltigen Erscheinungsformen in zahlreichen Anwendungsbereichen in der Terminologie und den Kategorien der Systemtheorie zu beschreiben. Bei der Demonstration der Simulation ganzer Unternehmungen trat sodann eine weitere Korrespondenz zwischen betriebswirtschaftlicher Systemtheorie und Simulationsverfahren zutage. In allen drei Modellen spielt der Informationsfluß in der Unternehmung eine dominierende Rolle. Bei Cyert und March kommen Entscheidungen durch den Vergleich der Zielinformationen mit Umweltinformationen und Informationen über das tatsächliche Verhalten der Unternehmung zustande; Bonini zeigt, wie stark das Verhalten der gesamten Unternehmung von der jeweiligen Konstruktion des Informationsnetzes abhängt; und Forrester räumt dem Informationsfluß eine übergeordnete, koordinierende Funktion für den Ablauf des Geschehens in der Unternehmung ein.
