Zusammenfassung
Vor dem Hintergrund erheblicher Investitionen der Banken in die Internetinfrastruktur werden Kundenzufriedenheit und Kundenbindung auch im E-Finance zu erfolgskritischen Faktoren.1 Gerade E-Finance wird nur profitabel funktionieren, wenn nicht mehr nur die Akquisition neuer, sondern vor allem die Bindung bestehender Kunden im Mittelpunkt steht. Dies erfordern die hohen Akquisitionskosten im Online Banking, die etwa 20 bis 40 Prozent über denen des traditionellen Offlinegeschäftes liegen.2 Ein positiver Kundenwert kann im Internet daher nur durch das Etablieren langfristiger Kundenbeziehungen erreicht werden, bei denen den anfänglich höheren Akquisitionskosten dann steigende Gewinne in späteren Perioden gegenüberstehen. Diese Erkenntnis führte in den letzten Jahren dazu, einfache Banking Websites zu umfassenden Finanzportalen zu entwickeln, auf denen nicht mehr nur klassische Bankprodukte angeboten, sondern alle mit Finanzfragen zusammenhängenden Probleme aus einer Hand gelöst werden können.3 Wenn alle Finanzgeschäfte auf der Portalsite erledigt werden können, so die Überlegung, besteht im Idealfall für die Nutzer keine Notwendigkeit mehr, verschiedene einzelne Webseiten aufzusuchen. Die Vielzahl der bereitgestellten Portalressourcen soll außerdem bei jeder Nutzung Anreize für eine hohe Verweildauer schaffen.
