Zusammenfassung

Okuläre und periokuläre Tumoren sind seltene Tumoren bei allen Haustierarten. Treten sie auf, haben sie schwere Folgen für das Sehen und die Lebensqualität. Okuläre Tumoren metastasieren selten in die regionären Lymphknoten oder entfernte Organe. Feline okuläre Tumoren können jedoch invasives Wachstum in die umgebende Orbita zeigen. Chirurgie ist die Behandlung der Wahl für alle okulären und periokulären Tumoren, während Bestrahlung und Chemotherapie wenig Bedeutung haben. Melanome, Plattenepithelkarzinome und feline okuläre posttraumatische Sarkome sind die häufigsten (peri-) okulären Tumoren in der Veterinäronkologie.
