Zusammenfassung
Zu den Endokrinopathien mit psychopathologischen Symptomen und den endokrinologischen Differenzialdiagnosen psychischer Erkrankungen zählen Kretinismus, M. Basedow, Hashimoto-Thyreoiditis, M. Addison, M. Cushing und das Phäochromozytom. Glukokortikoide, Schilddrüsenhormone, Sexualhormone, Schlaf- und Appetitregulatoren spielen eine Rolle in der Pathophysiologie, Diagnostik und Therapie psychischer Erkrankungen. Die Anorexia nervosa führt zu vermehrter Ausschüttung von Ghrelin und Aldosteron sowie zu einer verminderten Produktion von Leptin, Östrogenen und Trijodothyronin (T3), was eine Reihe medizinischer Konsequenzen nach sich ziehen kann. Mit Vorgängen im Hormonsystem assoziierte Nebenwirkungen der Psychopharmaka sind Gewichtszunahme, Diabetes mellitus Typ 2, Lipidstoffwechselstörungen, Prolaktinerhöhung und das Syndrom der inadäquaten ADH-Sekretion.
