Zusammenfassung
Emotionale Kompetenzen haben sich im beruflichen Kontext als entscheidende personale Ressource herauskristallisiert – sie sind ausschlaggebend für die Frage, wie wir mit uns selbst und mit anderen umgehen. Besonders wichtig sind emotionale Kompetenzen im Umgang mit Konflikten, Ärger und Belastungen – bei Führungstätigkeiten, aber auch in Berufen mit einem hohen Anteil an sozialen Interaktionen, wie beispielsweise im Servicebereich, im Vertrieb, im Lehrberuf, in der Psychotherapie und bei der Polizei. In diesen Berufen wird gefordert, dass Beschäftigte belastende Situationen gut bewältigen, auf ihr Gegenüber empathisch eingehen, intensive Emotionen bei sich selbst und anderen regulieren und gegebenenfalls eigene Emotionen in den Hintergrund treten lassen.
Das Interventionsprojekt EMO‐TRAIN zielt auf eine Verbesserung der Fähigkeit zur Emotionswahrnehmung und ‐regulation als Aspekte empathischen Handelns bei Personen ab, die
