Zusammenfassung

Die zwei Funktionen der männlichen Keimdrüse, nämlich die Bildung befruchtungsfähiger Samenzellen und die Inkretion, sind biologisch nur dann sinnvoll, wenn sie synchron ablaufen. Intaktheit der Inkretion ist Voraussetzung für die Verwertung der Keimzellen. Synchronisator beider funktionellen Leistungen des Hodens ist der Hypophysenvorderlappen, der sowohl die Leydigschen Zwischenzellen als wesentlichen Ort der Inkretion und das Samenepithel beeinflußt.
