Zusammenfassung
Lokalanästhetika werden i. allg. nahe ihres Wirkortes eingesetzt, d. h. peripher am spezifischen Nerv oder Nervenplexus bzw. zentral im Epidural- oder Intrathekalraum. Sie verändern weder das Ruhemembranpotential noch das kritische Schwellenpotential isolierter Nerven, bewirken aber eine Verminderung des Ausmaßes und der Geschwindigkeit der Depolarisation durch Hemmung des depolarisationsinduzierten Anstieges der Membranpermeabilität für Natriumionen [31] (vgl. 3.2.1). Da sie dadurch die Weiterleitung von Aktionspotentialen in elektrisch erregbaren Strukturen hemmen, läßt sich voraussagen, daß die Hauptwirkungen das Nerven- und kardiovaskuläre System betreffen müssen.
