Zusammenfassung

Alter ist keine Krankheit, sondern ein Lebensabschnitt, der durch Besonderheiten der Morbidität — auch im psychischen Bereich — gekennzeichnet ist. Dieses Kapitel beschreibt verschiedene psychische Erkrankungen und deren verhaltensthera-peutische Behandlung unter Berücksichtigung altersspezifischer Merkmale. Aufgrund ihrer Verbreitung wurden die Themen Depression, Angst, Schlafstörungen und kognitive Störungen im Alter herausgegriffen.
