Zusammenfassung
Wie kann die Wirksamkeit von nicht binären Interventionen evaluiert werden, wenn Treatments nicht randomisiert zugewiesen wurden und sich die Kontroll- und Treatmentgruppen auf wichtigen Ausgangs-Kovariaten unterscheiden? Wir stellen den Umgang mit dieser Problematik anhand eines Propensity Score Matchings zur Auswahl einer balancierten Stichprobe von Kita-Drillingen dar, welche drei unterschiedliche Förderungen erhielten. Das Verfahren wurde auf populationsbasierte Daten von 8906 deutschen Kitas angewandt. Es wurden drei logistische Modell geschätzt und dabei jeweils zwei Förderungen anhand der jeweils geschätzten Wahrscheinlichkeiten für eine der beiden miteinander verglichen (Propensity Scores). Einrichtungen mit unterschiedlicher Förderung, aber ähnlichen Propensity Scores, wurden zu einem Drilling zusammengefasst. Für unsere Studie wurde eine Stichprobe von 32 Kita-Drillingen realisiert, die sich auf 44 der 45 Kovariaten gleichen. Wir stellen dar, inwieweit ein Gleichgewicht zwischen den drei Gruppen erreicht wurde. Wir diskutieren, inwieweit kausale Inferenzen möglich sind und betrachten praktische Herausforderungen.
