Abstract

This chapter lays the foundations of the quantitative study, which aims at examining the awareness and practice of responsible lobbying in the EU and additionally considers benefits as well as selected antecedents of responsible lobbying. As noted in Chapter 3.3.4.1, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is deemed the most suitable approach for the quantitative part due to the highly complex nature of the object of research. The study follows the process of SEM adapted from Weiber and Miihlhaus (2009: 74), exhibited in FigureĀ 5.
