Abstract
Having developed a multidimensional model of responsible lobbying that can serve as the basis to assess and guide corporate practice, this chapter examines possible benefits and antecedents in a theoretical-conceptual approach. In the course of considering objectives against and gains of responsible lobbying (Chapter 4.2), the argument was raised that responsible lobbying is not only a moral obligation, but may be of instrumental value for the firm. To detail this idea, Chapter 5.2 elaborates on potential benefits that may result from responsible lobbying: It focuses on the impact on lobbying success and on business performance.
