Abstract

In order to precisely validate the performance of the implemented multiagent system (MAS) quantitatively, this chapter evaluates the system on benchmark problems. The most established and often applied benchmarks for Vehicle Routing Problems (VRP) are the Solomon benchmark (Solomon, 1987) as well as the benchmark of Homberger and Gehring (2005). Consequently, this chapter focuses on these two benchmarks.
