Die Lebensqualität von Menschen mit Demenz

Eine Metasynthese basierend auf den Selbstäußerungen von Menschen mit Demenz

Zusammenfassung

Ziel der Metasynthese ist die Entwicklung eines Modells der demenzspezifischen Lebensqualität, basierend auf den Selbstäußerungen von Menschen mit Demenz. Das methodische Vorgehen erfolgte in vier Schritten: Systematische Datenbankrecherche, Analyse der Charakteristika der eingeschlossenen Studien, Qualitätsbewertung der eingeschlossenen Publikationen und Synthese der Selbstäußerungen von Menschen mit Demenz. Anhand der neun für die Metasynthese berücksichtigten qualitativen Studien konnten insgesamt 14 Dimensionen der LQ herausgearbeitet werden: Familie, soziale Kontakte und Beziehungen, Selbstbestimmung und Freiheit, Wohnumfeld, positive Emotionen, negative Emotionen, Privatheit, Sicherheit, Selbstwertgefühl, physische und mentale Gesundheit, Glaube/Spiritualität, Pflegebeziehung, Freude an Aktivitäten und Zukunftsaussichten. Diese Dimensionen unterstreichen die Bedeutung psychosozialer Dimensionen der Lebensqualität. Daneben liefern sie eine Orientierung für die zukünftige Entwicklung von Lebensqualitätsinstrumenten, sowie zur Entwicklung und Überprüfung von nicht-pharmakologischen oder psychosozialen Interventionen für die Versorgung von Menschen mit Demenz.
