Zusammenfassung
Für die erfolgreiche Umsetzung von Innovationen ist die systematische Planung, Steuerung und Kontrolle der Innovationsprozesse eines Unternehmens entscheidend. Klassische Methoden und Werkzeuge des Projektmanagements bieten den Verantwortlichen in der Praxis aber nur eine geringe Unterstützung bei der Planung und Steuerung komplexer Innovationsprojekte unter Unsicherheit. Mit Hilfe alternativer Ansätze, wie dem Verfahren der Simulation, kann der Ablauf eines Innovationsprojektes bereits vor der Durchführung quantitativ analysiert werden. Die Simulation ermöglicht u. a. eine szenarienbasierte Planung, d. h. sogenannte „Was-wäre-wenn“-Analysen, und bietet somit eine valide Entscheidungsgrundlage für Projektmanager.
