Zusammenfassung
Der Beitrag analysiert die Bedeutung von Wertorientierungen für das Wahlverhalten. Dazu wird zunächst das Konzept der Wertorientierung vorgestellt und seine theoretische Position in klassischen Erklärungsansätzen der Wahlforschung bestimmt. Anschließend werden für Wahlverhalten relevante Wertorientierungen diskutiert. Am Beispiel von Ingleharts Theorie vom Wandel hin zum Postmaterialismus werden Konsequenzen des Wertewandels für das Wahlverhalten empirisch untersucht.
