Die meisten Temperaturmessungen im Kraftfahrzeug nützen die Temperaturabhängigkeit von elektrischen Widerstandsmaterialien mit negativen (NTC) Temperaturkoeffizienten. Aufgrund der starken Nichtlinearität kann ein großer Temperaturbereich abgedeckt werden, Bild 18-1.
