Zusammenfassung
Dialog gehört zu den zentralen normativen Begriffen der Online-PR, wird aber in der Praxis nur selten in letzter Konsequenz umgesetzt. Ohne eine Rückgriff auf gesellschaftliche Einflussfaktoren wie etwa institutionelle Logiken lässt sich dieses Phänomen nicht erklären. Institutionelle Logiken sind gesellschaftlich definierte Annahmen und Regeln, die Handlungen erst ermöglichen. Einerseits wird unter Dialog die Logik der kalifornischen Ideologie verstanden, die Technologie als Allheilmittel versteht: Dialog wird hier vor allem als technologischer Möglichkeitsraum verstanden. Demgegenüber steht die emanzipatorische Utopie, die das Netz als herrschaftsfreien Diskurs versteht. Beide Logiken lassen sich in der Praxis der Online-PR finden. Der Beitrag kontrastiert diese beiden Logiken und leitet daraus Konsequenzen für die Online-PR ab. Dabei steht die Erklärung von Online-PR aus einer nicht-instrumentellen Perspektive im Zentrum.
