Zusammenfassung

We traditionally consider the birth of comics the 1st quarter of the 19th century. As we all know, at the very first steps, it had an entertaining function but » comics « has gradually gained its letter of nobility by becoming more social, even more political; comics burgeoned in 20th century following the popularity of caricatures. It had diverse audience and various political, social and entertaining functions which in a short while attracted Iranian intellectuals and authors. This medium has recently entered Iran.
