Zusammenfassung
Das von Fred Dallmayr begründete Paradigma der Comparative Political Theory (CPT) entspringt der Einsicht, dass eine politische Theorie, die sich lediglich auf den ‚Kanon‘ und die Kategorien westlichen politischen Denkens stützt, einer globalisierten Welt nicht angemessen gerecht wird (vgl. Dallmayr 2010a: ix; 2010b: 7). Vor diesem Hintergrund lässt sich die Frage stellen, wie das Konzept ‚Säkularismus‘ (secularism) aus Sicht einer nicht-eurozentrischen politischen Theorie einzuordnen ist.
