Zusammenfassung

Diabetiker bedürfen häufiger chirurgischer Eingriffe als Stoffwechselgesunde. Narkosebedingt und infolge der somatischen Streßreaktion drohen dabei Stoffwechselentgleisungen. Die erhöhte perioperative Morbidität dieser Patienten wird häufig durch vaskuläre Komplikationen bedingt. Besonders gefährdet sind Diabetiker mit einer autonomen Neuropathie.
